We are continuing on the first Chapter in the Pedagogy Playbook & the topic of HOW TO start Nature Walks.

It took us some time to ensure we always had everything we needed and were ready for any turn of action. Today we will unpack the backpack and trolley for you, showing off all necessities that we as a Service find helpful. There are things we won't be focusing on, that includes the mandatory first aid items. However, always refer to Education and Care Services National Regulations to ensure you meet all regulations. Depending on the age of the children, we would also pack different - age-appropriate items, for example: a portable nappy change mat, more nappies, smaller clothes or blankets for infants.

We hope you find it helpful and gives you confidence in taking children out into natural environments.

We are proud to be Early Childhood Educators!

Our educators created this video to show appreciation for our sector. The captions are words we've collaboratively created to the music of the heroic song "Working Class Man" by Jimmy Barnes to raise awareness of the qualifications, professionalism and care Early Childhood Educators invest.

Welcome to the first Chapter in the Pedagogy Playbook.

Slowly, we will unpack the nature walks for you and answer the most popular questions.

We will share tips and honest opinions with you on what works for our group and how we overcome specific barriers.

Today, we focus on RISK ASSESSMENT (we just love doing it!).

This is probably one of the first steps you need to begin nature walks.

Go & explore!
